Manyana has a population of about 3300 people and is home to one of the few rock art sites in Botswana. It is one of the most accessible rock art sites in Botswana, less than an hour's drive from Gaborone (the capital of Botswana). Manyana is known for its rock paintings, which are very rare in the southeast of Botswana, and it is also where David Livingstone delivered many of his sermons.

Place of Hope was the second center to be established. Construction started in 2008, however was only completed late 2011 to social worker and building council satisfaction. The center was opened for full time children late early 2012.
